Speak for Wolves comes to Washington

Speak For Wolves Conference comes to Washington state.

Speak for Wolves is an annual conference dedicated to advancing science-based wildlife conservation and policy reform for wolves and other large carnivores. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, this program empowers individuals to take meaningful action in support of biodiversity and ecological resilience across the Pacific Northwest.

At the heart of this conference is a commitment to bridging Indigenous knowledge with best available science to challenge outdated wildlife management practices and influence policies that better protect apex predators and the ecosystems they sustain. These efforts are critical at a time when large carnivores worldwide face increasing pressures from habitat fragmentation, human-wildlife conflict, and policy decisions that often prioritize short-term interests over long-term ecological health.

A cornerstone of this nationally recognized conference is bringing together scientists, Indigenous leaders, policymakers, and advocates to share knowledge, build skills, and inspire collective action. In addition, Speak for Wolves provides accessible advocacy resources, educational materials, and action alerts that equip supporters to engage directly in public decision-making processes.
